Kai's world has just expanded to three rooms! WOO HOO! She's been doing VERY well with her house training (no accidents!) so we are SLOWLY introducing her to the rest of the house. She likes to eat the cat's food, so we had to move that to the sofa table (not really happy about that, but what else can I do). Jake (the cat) seems to be taking this very well. The girls, however, are not happy at all. They jumped the baby gate on the steps and are hiding upstairs.

BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING! I got 8 notebooks, two 24 pk. pencils 4 jumbo stretch book covers, a pencil case, sharpener, two packs of pens, 4 packs of paper, 2 rulers, a dictionary and colored pencils for under $25.00! WOO WOO! I love Target!

Quinn still needs more for 6th grade, but we won't get the rest of the list until the first week of school.

We drove up to PA on Sunday. Mainly to meet my 2 year old nephew (the reason for the phone call on Friday). Since I do not want to put his picture on the internet, I'll post this one of my mom's new puppy. His name is Seamus (pronounced "Shaymus")O'Malley, he's a 6 month old miniature poodle, and he's very cute! He's the percfect dog for my mom!

UPDATE (Not a POTD)

I posted a pic of the robin's nest with two eggs last week. Well, Ken took this one today, and there's another egg! There's also another nest on the other side of out back door. I was afraid to go near it because it's sitting on an angle (the birds broke the outside light). Ken took the picture and of course, there's already a new little hatchling. I can't believe there are so many new nests, eggs and birds in JULY!

Quinn had bugged Cheryl enough that she finnaly caved and started to paint the shed. MIL had promised Quinn that she'd paint with her, after Ken decided to let Quinn use it as a "club house". I don't think that'll last too long. It gets way to hot up there!

Have you seen this? Really? POPCORN FLAVORED ICE CREAM???? I like popcorn just as much as the next guy. I even enjoy the popcorn flavored jelly bellies. But Ice Cream??? Uuummm, I don't know about that.

Ken, Quinn and MIL all went fishing this morning, so I took advantage of the quiet and went out back to read. I saw this little guy and it just freaked me out, I HAD to get a picture. I think he's a leaf bug. I've never seen one before! ICK!

P.S. My camera was zoomed in as far I as I could get it, so I didn't have to get too close! LOL!

I had to book a GS Party today, and on the way I passed my J's "going out of business" sign. Everything was now 90% off. I mentioned to Quinn that I wanted to stop on our way back home, but I didn't think I'd find anything, even at 90%. Well, I was almost right. The place was CLEANED OUT! I was able to get the last three DCWV White Core Fall Cardstock stacks. I also got several packs of brads and eyelets, two sheets of "Mickey" paper, and ten mini rolls of ribbon, four packs of alphabet rub-ons, and three packs of chipboard sliders. The grand total? $13.26!!! I saved a total of $112.38!!! Not too bad!

There was a lady there who had a TON of punches and all the Xyron refills. Man, I wish I had gotten there a few minutes earlier!!!

I asked Quinn to take my POTD today and this is what I got. I think it's somewhat appropriate, considering since we got the game the other day, she's been playing it NON STOP. I have to fight to get MY DS away form her!!!

My review of the game It seems very easy to do. Follow simple rhythms, right? NOT! It gets tricky and sometimes frustrating, but it's great for a silly, not-wanting-to-have-to-think-about-it-kind-of-game.

Quinn went to her friend's house to play, but they got bored. Next thing I know, they want to come back over here to go swimming. I happened to catch Quinn lounging on a float and her friend sneaking up and dunking her! It was really funny! (I know it should only be one picture, but I love the look on her friend's face right before flipping her over!)

I finally decided to spend that T-Mobile rebate. I *could* have spent the whole $100.00 on MYSELF, getting new scrap supplies, or whatever, but I honestly don't need anything. So, Quinn and I went to Target. She picked out the Wii Outdoor Challenge and I picked a DS game, Rhythm Heaven. The Wii game is TOUGH! I can't say much about the DS game, though. Quinn won't give back MY DS!

Ken got a new Backberry for work back in February. I sent in for the rebate but we never got it. Finally, he was able to call T-Mobile and we found out that they had issued the rebate, but sent it to the wrong person! Someone else got a free $100.00 debit card!!! Anyway, it was all straightened out and we got the card in the mail today.

The ice arena finally re-opened on Monday, but the public sessions are scarce. We were able to coordinate with her frineds and the girls had a great time. I even had an hour and a half to catch up with my coleader!

Well, there goes almost $500.00 on THESE glasses! Kai had an "accident" and as I was cleaning it up, she decided to snack on my glasses. Yes, I need a new prescription, I know my vision has gotten a bit worse, but I'm just not ready to get them NOW! I think I may try a pair of "readers" from the drug store for the time being.

There are a few different "collections" happening at our house. Quinn has her bells, Ken wants to collect pins (hence all of the Disney pins in the shadow boxes posted previously) and spoons, but I have a thing for refrigerator magnets! The only rule is, we can only get a pin, spoon or magnet from places that all three of us have been together.

Since I've finished my "summer reading list" already, Ken stoped by the book store and picked this up for me last night. It's another boy-loves-girl-girl-loves-vampire-werewolf-loves-girl-love story. It's three different (yet connected) stories in each book. I have to get the next book, because I finished it already!
